Quality Training Served Up in MALT

Church leaders from across the metro area – and beyond – experience the benefits of quality training during MALT. The annual training event draws close to 450 people each year from churches throughout the metro area and beyond.

Teachers fill the rooms of conferences such as “How a Preschooler Learns About God,”  “Issues that Impact Children and Your Class,” “Seven Mega-Trends Affecting Youth Ministry,” and “Adult Classes Moving Outside the Box (Missional Sunday School).”

WMU, musicians and pastors respond to the opportunity for further training for their roles in these important functions of a church. Another well-attended area is spiritual enrichment sessions. In past MALTs, 20% of those attending have opted for one of these classes.

The annual MALT (Metro Area Leadership Training) event is sponsored by the three Southern Baptist Associations in the Kansas City area: Blue River-Kansas City, Clay-Platte, and Kansas City Kansas City Kansas Baptist Associations.
